Maritime Bond is one of many warehouses built around the Port of Leith in the 19th century. Acquired by famous wine and spirits merchant MacDonald and Muir in the early 1900’s, the building was used to store large barrels of whisky before they were exported into Europe. The building lies adjacent to the famous Lambs House, built in the early 1600’s, where Mary Queen of Scots is believed to have stayed on her return from France.
